Connected industrial gear needs OT reality, not demo connectivity.

The Challenge
Connected industrial equipment is a machine that already has a job on a floor, plus a defined way to report its state without making the network part of the job. Designing it means deciding what stays on the machine, what may leave, and what a maintainer can learn with the cabinet open or closed.
Start from the fault a person must clear, not from a platform. What stopped, what is safe to touch, and what the machine will do next if nobody is watching the screen.

Description
This Insights guide explains Connected Industrial Gear for founders and engineering teams building hardware that must be manufactured, tested, and handed off. Start from the fault a person must clear, not from a platform. What stopped, what is safe to touch, and what the machine will do next if nobody is watching the screen. It also covers the machine remains the authority; where the information lives; what not to automate away.

The Outcome
Start, stop, fault and recovery still work with the radio removed. Remote control of motion is either excluded or treated as its own safety scope. Event names are words the maintainer uses.
