Electronics that ignore the enclosure will fight it later.

The Challenge
The enclosure, the fasteners, the user and the assembly order are electrical constraints. Board outline, component height, connector direction, antenna keep-out, battery contacts, switch travel, a window for a display, a seal, and a path for heat are fixed in the mechanical model before layout is treated as free. Electronics that ignore them get a second spin that is really the first layout done too late.
Put both designs in one coordinate system, review them as one assembly, and write which features of the prototype shell are allowed to be fake. Every figure below is hypothetical teaching maths. None of it is a measured stack, a tolerance study from a tool, or a BrahmWorks result.

Description
This Insights guide explains Electronics and Mechanics for founders and engineering teams building hardware that must be manufactured, tested, and handed off. Put both designs in one coordinate system, review them as one assembly, and write which features of the prototype shell are allowed to be fake. Every figure below is hypothetical teaching maths. It also covers one model, one outline, one height map; connectors, cables, and the wall they must reach; keep-outs, antennas, sensors, and heat.

The Outcome
Mechanical and electrical models share an origin, units, and a rule for which file wins. The outline, holes and keep-outs are exported, not retyped. Height is a map, including bosses, ribs, cells and hands, not one global maximum.
“The enclosure, the fasteners, the user and the assembly order are electrical constraints.”
