Drawings, BOMs, process notes and release packs your contract manufacturer and vendors can build from – including when the CM is already yours. Tribal knowledge stays out of the handoff.
If the CM has to call the designer, the package is not done.
Supplier and CM handoff is the documentation and coordination layer between a manufacturable design and a line that can run without the studio in the room. We prepare the pack, answer mark-ups, and stay through first articles when you need engineering on the floor – whether BrahmWorks builds the pilot or your existing CM does.
Release documentation
Controlled BOMs, drawings, Gerbers, assembly and test procedures, revision history and change notes. Enough for a moulder, sheet-metal shop, PCB assembler or full CM to quote and build without guessing intent.
Process and packaging notes
Work instructions, torque and seal notes, cable routing, fixture references, incoming and EOL checks, and how the unit is packed and labelled. Packaging drawings belong in the pack, not in a chat thread.
Working with your CM
We do not require you to switch manufacturers. Mark-ups from your CM go back into the model and the BOM. We write the notes so their line can run; we join calls and first-article reviews when that is in scope.
Vendor briefs and first article
Process choice, tolerance callouts and acceptance criteria for individual suppliers. First-article support so deviations are decided, not absorbed silently into the next lot.
What a handoff pack includes
Engage when a quote needs a package, or a CM needs more than a ZIP of CAD.
Best after DFM & DFA and a clear production intent – often alongside or after a pilot build. We also join when a CM has already started and mark-ups, yield or missing process notes are blocking release. Bangalore studio; EV and other hardware; we manufacture when fit allows and we hand off cleanly when your CM owns the line.

Questions we get
Do we have to use your suppliers?
No. Handoff is often to the client’s existing CM and vendors. We also work with our fab and assembly partners when that is the better fit. The pack is written for whoever builds.
Is this only documentation, or do you stay on the line?
Documentation is the core deliverable. Manufacturing support – first article, yield triage, ECO – is scoped when you need it. See also prototype to production.
Can handoff start before the pilot is finished?
A draft pack can start once architecture and DFM are clear. Final release should wait until pilot findings that change drawings or process are closed, or those open items are listed explicitly.
Who owns IP and the manufacturing files?
Under our standard development engagement, you retain ownership of your company and IP. Release files for your CM are delivered as agreed in the statement of work.
