Before selecting an enclosure, define the users, sensor connections, installation environment and target build quality. Sketches and form studies help turn those requirements into a practical product direction.
Mechanical Engineering . DFM & DFA
Make the design ready to assemble.
The selected form becomes an engineered enclosure. We refine wall sections, fasteners, board supports, connector clearances and cable paths, then choose a fabrication route that suits the quantity and cost.
Electronics & embedded firmware
Build the electronics around the product.
The board, enclosure and firmware develop together. Connector positions must align with the mechanical design; power, sensor interfaces and radio placement must support dependable operation.
App, dashboard & device integration
Turn sensor readings into usable information.
A connected product needs a clear path from the sensor to the screen. Device identity, units, timestamps and connection state must remain consistent across firmware, app and dashboard.
System validation & design revision
Test the system. Close the gaps.
An integrated prototype is checked against agreed acceptance criteria. Findings drive changes to the enclosure, board, firmware or user interface before the next revision is released.
Installation & field feedback
Validate how it works where it will be used.
Installation checks complete the picture. Sensor placement, cable lengths, mounting, power and connectivity can change the experience outside the workshop.
Packaging design & handover
A product. And a way to build it.
The final handover gives your manufacturing team the agreed design and the information needed to reproduce the build.

Everything you need to know
When should we involve BrahmWorks in NPI?
Ideally before hard tooling — once the architecture is clear but parts and assemblies can still change. We also join mid-pilot when yield, cost, or supplier issues are blocking release.
Do you only do design, or manufacturing support too?
Both. We design for manufacture and stay through pilot builds, vendor handoff, and line issues when you need engineering on the floor.
Is this only for EV hardware?
No. The same NPI path applies across EV, IoT, medical-adjacent devices, agri hardware, and special-purpose machines — EV is a strong vertical for us, not the only one.
Can you work with our existing CM or suppliers?
Yes. We package drawings, BOMs, and process notes so your contract manufacturer and vendors can build without tribal knowledge stuck in the studio.
